Working together makes a difference!
I was appointed Supervisor for Solebury last year but I am running for a full term this November. Find out how you can get involved and start making a difference. Your support is important and valuable to me. There are many ways to participate in our efforts to enhance our community. Whether you would like to volunteer your time, or make a monetary donation, every little bit that you dedicate helps tremendously.
I hope I can rely on your vote! Thank you.
I have lived in Solebury since 2014 with my wife Paula and daughter Sarah. I graduated from Kingston University in London, England in Commercial Interior Design and was a partner in an international architectural firm. I've been a teacher, advisor, and examiner to a number of academic institutions.
Since moving to the States in 1993, and gaining citizenship in 2006, my work has been for major architectural and engineering firms in St. Louis, Charlottesville, and Philadelphia and I'm now a consultant to two of those firms, working from my home studio.
I'm a board member, and was President of Primrose Creek Watershed Association (2017-18). I was also a member of both the Environmental Advisory Committee and the Zoning Hearing Board for the township until I was appointed to the Board of Supervisors in 2018.
I love architecture and design, history and food, and I missed England’s countryside until I found Solebury!
I have set my standards very high, and will continue to fight for the quality of our township and region. I have a history of excellence, I like to get things done, and I hold the public interest very close to my heart. Please support me and my vision for the future.
Let's build something together
I'm running for Solebury Township Supervisor and I'd like your vote!
I’m a Commercial Interior Designer and have spent my whole career working with architects and engineers within corporate and institutional environments, so I have a sound appreciation of aesthetics and of working in teams to get things done!
My priorities are for the environment of our community. Not just the natural environment but the whole context of the place where we live. In addition, water quality and safety are priorities. All this must happen within the context of a sound financial framework.
I’ve been able to do that in the township by
leading the liaison to the Aquetong Spring Park Committee (we published the Masterplan at the end of last year);
contributing to the monitoring of the quarry; and
most recently working with other supervisors to establish our vision for the future of the 202 corridor.
I can see that this township has outstanding leadership and I’m proud to be part of that team now, and hope it can continue. We have:
fostered a safe community environment by enhancing our police force and its diversity,
brought in over $2M of grants with another $1.3M pending to create township amenities,
improved the emergency services,
balanced the budget keeping our reserves intact,
provided environmental oversight – the quarry, ASP, deer management and recycling,
promoted an open dialogue with the community concerning development,
furthered the goal of preserving land to make our community beautiful and pleasant and less expensive than many other townships.
In my mind this is an outstanding roster of achievements. This has not been done by luck! It is by hard work, intellectual rigor, foresight, planning and good old fashioned common sense.
I hope to be able to continue this work by being elected.
I hope I can count on your vote. Thank you.
